Technical Guide & Overview
STL (Stereolithography) is the de facto standard CAD and 3D printing file format, representing three-dimensional surface geometry through triangulated polygonal surface meshes.
How It Works Under the Hood
Otuls parses both ASCII and Binary STL formats directly into WebGL vertex attribute buffers. It calculates normal vectors, geometric bounding volumes, total surface area, watertight manifold integrity, and bounding box dimensions (X, Y, Z in millimeters) with high-frame-rate Three.js rendering.
